Why Berlin City House?
The House is the best place to stay in Berlin. It's located perfectly in the heart of the City. You can easily start from here to all the main attractions. The Berlin City House is placed in a backyard, a very historic (built 1911) building. Very calm and relaxing. The townhouse is equipped with nice furnishers, high-speed Internet (WIFI), many nice amenities and a wonderful little garden. We were also part of a famous US TV show (HGTV Int. Homes) and are nominated as one of the 5 best Hideaways in Berlin. So we think - you should book the best place in the City of Berlin :).
Where is the Berlin City House located?
The House is located in the beautiful Prenzlauer Berg area - in the heart of Berlin. Surrounded by Cafes, Bars, Restaurants and cozy parks. The perfect urban area for your stay. Ideal for families and cosmopolitans.
What is the history of the Berlin City House?
The House used to be a corn storage building in the 1910s. Farmers used to store their goods in the House for a few years and it was part of the main apartment complex, around the #berlincityhouse. The last 80-100 years the building became a ruin and no one payed really attention to the House. In 2017 I started a huge renovation process, together with an architect. I wanted to create a special and unique place, especially for short term visitors, who wants to feel the history of Berlin and who wants to relax after an exciting day in the City. Is the area of Prenzlauer Berg nice?
Yes! Prenzlauer Berg is "the" one and only area when it comes to variety, family friendliness and urbanity. The area is very historic, green and also safe. The farmer market is just a block away and you will enjoy all the nice little international restaurants and bars. Scroll thru many little independent shops or enjoy an organic coffee on the street. Its just perfect and I live here too :)
How can I reach the House?
You can take the TRAM to "Prenzlauer Allee/Danziger Strasse" or to "Husemannstrasse". The SUBWAY U2 stop is "Eberswalder Strasse". All stations are a 5min walk away from the Berlin city House. Parking space is available on the street outside or in the parking garage, nearby.
How can I check-in/check-out?
Checkin is available from 3pm to open end. The electronic key box (24/7) in front of the House is available for your convenience. Feel free to arrive when ever you like. A code will be send to you, prior to arrival. Check-out time is 11am.
How many persons can stay in the house?
The house is equipped with one big Queen Size bed ( 160x200cm), one additional guest bed (extra charge) and one baby bed! We provide the baby bed free of charge.
Are you available during my stay?
Yes of course! You will get my emergency phone number, my email address and a back up phone number from my service provider. There is always someone available for you.
Are parties and overnight guests allowed?
No! This is not allowed. The neighbours are very strict with noise level. Violations will be punished as well as unexpected overnight guests.
How can I book the Berlin City House?
You can send us your request with the dates you prefer. We will answer you within max. 6h.
Are restaurants and bars nearby?
Oh yes! You will find many nice restaurants and bars nearby. Prenzlauer Berg is famous for the variety and quality. You will find many nice places just around the block.
Is the Berlin City House a nice place to spend honeymoons or celebrate special moments?
Yes! We have many guests, who book the place for a romantic get away away from home. The House is very cozy and pretty and you will find nice amenities to enjoy your stay.
When is the best time to visit Berlin?
The best time is actually between April to December. Berlin is beautiful nearly all year round. Starting in spring with a nice city walk and ending in December with the beautiful Christmas markets all over the City.
Can we use the garden?
Of course. Your private little garden is just reserved for you and the birds. It's a small oasis in the heart of Berlin. You can enjoy and relax with a glass of wine after an exciting day in the City of Berlin.
What attractions does the Area offer?
The Berlin City House is perfectly located. You can reach the main attractions, like "Berliner Mauer", "Fernsehturm" or the "Museumsinsel" within 10-15min by TRAM, Subway or S-Bahn (public transportation). The trains are running every 3-5min, 24/7! You can also rent some bikes nearby. Its the perfect starting point for your trip thru the City of Berlin.
